In going thru life, there is bound to be some sacrifices that we will have to make, for me this year has been a year of sacrifices, gives and takes.
Among other things that I had to sacrifice this year is my hobbies, writing and photography to name a few. Mainly because of my schedule, my study takes a lot of time. Most of the time I will be left with no personal time at all. Earlier in the year I somehow always managed to devote a few hours to writing up some silly things in my blog, or to just get out of the house look around me and snap some photos.
Now it is time like this, when I’m back at home for a day or two that I can actually sit down and write something personal, it used to be that I had to get up early in the morning and type up my assignments and getting up early means i have to sleep much earlier. Thus leaving me with virtually no time at all. These days if I’m taking a picture it would mostly be done with my phone, which is pathethic but then again when you have to get that shot, the phone does have its value.
During the course of this year, I have had a lot of times where I get this sudden inspiration on a topic to write, but no time to put the thought down and less time to even go to a cybercafe to put it up on the net, so there goes a topic down the drain. With most topic/thought that I have, if I don’t write it out at that moment, the feel of it would be lost, and an idea would remain just that.
Whatever it is, I do feel that my sacrifice is worth the effort and time. It’s not everyday that you get paid to study, and being where I am, there is the feeling that I you don’t absorb as much info from the lecturers as possible it would be a waste as these are experts in their own right and their passion for their job does tend to inspire ppl like me.
With my final exam just next week and the end of the course in a month, there will a tonne of free time for me to indulge myself in my hobbies. Hoping that my blogging and photographing days will come back 🙂
Adieu
p/s: Thinking of saving up to buy a D70s, anyone knows a good deal? or wish to donate to a poor man? :p
Note: I have a habit of typing my assignments in the wee hours of the morning where I can have total focus, especially when the house is dark and the only light is from the computer.
Here’s something to envy. I just got a D50 right before raya, it’s an absolute genius! 😀 It’s the latest version and the functions have been revised making it more practical than the D70– slightly cheaper too! I’m still tinkering around with my new toy, could use some tips from a pro like you.
Looking forward to more updates!
Until then, Salam Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir Batin.
DAMN!!! tak aci, tp nevermind D50 is a beginner’s camera (kata kata org dengki) :p I want more feature!!! I want a battery/vertical grip!!! :p
